White Mountain Yoga Series with Syl Carson
Eight week course -2x weekly: $140.

White Mountain Yoga offers six different yoga series through out the year, each with a different focus yet complimentary toward one another.
WMY Classes are deep YIN Yoga & Movement Practices that focus on total mind/body health, and give you a broad spectrum of understanding just how powerful a tool Yoga is. Most YIN Yoga practices focus on passive stretching. This type of movement over eight weeks begins to sculpt your body and de-stress your mind!
WMY Yin Yoga's focus is on intrinsic movement, meaning slow, deep, non-repetitive movements, that can releases you from physical and emotional lock down. Participating in these classes bring you a greater sense of rhythm and balance in normal daily activities, and support a deeper practice in all other forms of Yoga and Physical Fitness.

Yin Yoga morning class series led by Syl is a mixture of invigorating yoga modalities (Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Polarity Therapy & Continuum Movement) combined for total mind/body health. Yoga to balance the body from the inside out - classes are approached from neuro-muscular structural integration, toward balancing the Cerebral Spinal fluid, Cellular & Pulmonary Respiration, Digestive Support and Meditative Healing.

White Mountain Beginners Yoga Series
2x weekly:
Class held Tuesday 8:30-9:30am Thursdays 4:30-5:30pm
Traditional Hatha Yoga class that introduces you to the basics of yoga breathing, basic and restorative yoga postures, and safe transitions as you learn to move in vinyasa flow. Designed as an ongoing introductory level yoga. You can start any time!
Techniques in this class are also appropriate yoga for pregnancy.
White Mountain Mysore Practice
Practice held: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 11am-1pm
Wednesday Evening 7-9pm
The Mysore style of yoga asana practice is a particular way of teaching yoga within the Ashtanga Yoga tradition as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in the southern Indian city of Mysore
Yoga class is not "led" as a whole but rather all instruction is one-on-one within the group setting. Students practice their own portion of the Edges Flow Yoga, Beginners or Restorative Practice. The WMY Instructor holds the sacred space of Practice and to assist each student individually by giving physical adjustments & verbal instruction to the individual student in a whispered manner.
In the Mysore method each student practices to their own ability and time constraint. Newer and more beginning students tend to have a much shorter practice than do those with more experience. As one gains more strength, stamina, flexibility and concentration, additional postures (as well as suggestions for modifying or intensifying the practice) are shared with the student.
Edges of Yoga Power Flow Series
with Syl & Dawn
Class held Tuesday 6:30-8pm, Thursdays 6:30-8pm & Saturday 8:30-10am
Discover the White Mountain Edges of Yoga Practice with an eye on in-depth knowledge of what EDGE really means as you ascend to a new levels of yoga. Gain a clearer understanding of your own relationship to your body, your mind and how you move in the practice.
Edges Power Flow is a Dynamic class for dedicated practitioners of Yoga Asana and Vinyasa practice. This is a practice of four vinyasa sequences flowed by seven standing postures and a sequence of eighteen postures including backbends, seated & balancing postures and inversions followed by Savasana (final relaxation).
It is recommended that you attend one White Mountain Yoga Series prior to enrollment if you have not yet experienced yoga. Come prepared to sweat!
Surya Namaskar Morning Practice
Look for this class in the Fall.
Surya Namaskar means Salutation to the Sun. This is a traditional gentle morning yoga practice of four rounds of twelve specific yoga postures that flow together, followed by several gentle restorative stretches and Savasana. A gentle modified practice any one can do, just roll out of bed and onto our mat!

NIA Technique Practice

Fusion Fitness of Yoga, Martial Arts & Dance
Nia combines Dance and Yoga movements and heart-pumping martial arts moves infused with subtle therapeutic techniques designed to heighten body awareness and Sensory IQ. The Nia workout is generally performed in bare feet and, through the use of music and movement, each Nia experience is uniquely crafted to both calm and invigorate. A Nia workout delivers cardiovascular and whole body conditioning for the body, mind, emotions and spirit.
Morning Meditation Practice
Look for this class in the Fall.
Developing a meditation practice will bring brain chemistry into balance, help reduce anxiety, and increase your ability to stay focused. Learning several modalities of meditation will support overall wellbeing and outlook. You will gain take home skills that will make this a lifetime practice.
Morning Meditation Practice is a great way to stay in a more centered state all day long.
Sacred Breath Pranayama Practice with Syl
Class held Saturday Mornings 8-8:30pm
Traditional yoga breaths taught as a practice within themselves to increase oxygenation to the body and support mind body health. Pranayama practice includes learning the value of Bandhas (internal locks) to move healing energy throughout the body.
This class is scheduled just prior to Saturday morning Edges class as a great segue into the WMY Power flow.
Child's Play Yoga for Kids
Look for this class in the Fall.
Ages 5-8 (Parents Welcome!)
Cultivating the ancient art of Childhood! Yoga is natural for children since it addresses the whole child, Stronger Bodies, Focused Minds and Peaceful Spirits. Children are capable of much more than we think they are, and if given the right environment they will excel beyond our expectations. However, children are not mini adults, and should not necessarily practice yoga in the same way.
The WMY Childs Play Yoga Practice Series will assist your child in a joyful expression through yoga. During this eight week series they can learn fun ways to cultivate:

This six week workshop with Syl is designed specifically for individuals who are currently experiencing chronic pain and fatiguefor feeling good soon and learning the skills to stay that way on a daily basis!
The Yoga, Movement and Breathing techniques we will enjoy during our six weeks together work directly on the body to reduce or eliminate pain by helping the brain's pain center regulate its controlling mechanism located in the spinal cord. This workshop will also teach mind/body movement that assist the brain in the secretion of natural painkillers thoughout the body.
If you are in chronic pain due to illness recovery, injury, or are currently experiencing effects of an auto-immune disease you will want to join in on this supportive time shift yourself toward wholeness.
When you are enrolled in this Clinic you may also attend the Beginners Yoga Practice during the two week break between workshops as a compliment practice!

Whether we believe it or not we are truly the creators of our own reality. Our Culture has taught us so many things: How to dress, how to sit, walk, eat, talk, and yes, how to think.
The Manifesting Practice class explores how we fall into chronic conditions regarding our mental and physical health, relationships, finances and more. Blocked or Negative energy is what our culture commonly refers to as stress. Stress is a learned behavior, whether we believe it or not, stress is a perception that manifests limitations on the BODY/MIND. These limitations show up in our body, relationships, finances, etc, as disharmony.
When we learn how to live more fully in our TRUTH we thrive. Stress and Thriving cannot co-exist. This is a vital concept that our culture cannot teach us because of the cultural mind-set (literally a collective mind that is set in place). Society cannot give you YOUR TRUTH, what you really want to have happen in your relationships with a partner or children, what you most want to know in your body to feel good, and how much money that comes into your life.
YOU actually control these factors. This control has first to do with how you have learned to think, move and breathe.
The White Mountain Yoga Manifesting Practice is an incredibly powerful way for you to learn to:
1- Recognize thought and habitual body patterns that are keeping you stuck in chronic struggle.
2- Help you fully understand what your truth is and clearly define with your Soul what you really want and WHY.
3- Teach your mind and body the importance of working as a unified whole to empower the shift and bring you into alignment with what you most choose. Visualization on a CELLULAR LEVEL.

What is White Mountain Yoga?
Syl Carson founded White Mountain Yoga in 2000. She used her yoga practice to help her deal with physical limitations under which she was labouring at the time. Syl had taken yoga classes that served as a guide as well as a catalyst for the development of her own personal yoga practice at home, which is what she credits with literally saving her physical, mental, emotional and Spiritual life!
White Mountain Yoga is yoga that is geared to the individual. The word Philosophy, from its Latin derivation, means The Love of Wisdom. White Mountain Yoga encompasses all the layers of that pursuit from the perspective and freedom of the individual.
The constancy of the human condition is that of change, yet we spend a large amount of time trying to avoid it. White Mountain Yoga is a yoga philosophy of exploring that change on many levels, becoming comfortable with it... embracing it with out fear. That change may be aging well, healing well, working well or simply being able to embrace life from a joyful place regardless of circumstance.
It is the intention of White Mountain Yoga and Syl Carson to enliven the Mind, Body awareness in each client yogi of their intact Higher Self, as they employ the skills of personal empowerment for good throughout home/family, work and society. Discover This High Place
